William Clothier (Founder / Managing Director)

After Abingdon School in Oxfordshire, Will graduated from Warwick University with a BSc in Management Science. He worked for Tower Finance Group Limited in New Zealand for two years before returning to London to manage projects for a Goldman Sachs/Morgan Stanley-backed telecoms start-up, Band-X, until April 2004. Will resigned to pursue his own venture, starting the process by leaping into his jeep and driving around Eastern Europe; doing his own empirical research until he decided to set up base in Budapest.

Ever-practical, Will is a keen yachtsman (winning silver in the 6mR 2007 and 2005 World Cups) and has also played professional 1st division class rugby in the UK and New Zealand. In 2007, he completed Vasaloppet (a 90km cross-country ski race) in Sweden.

Peter Grundberg (Founder / Director)

Schooled at Latymer Upper School in London, Peter graduated in law from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. He is an Anglo-Swedish solicitor who trained in London and Brussels with New York firm Coudert Brothers before moving to the Washington D.C. head-quartered law-firm, Wilmer Cutler and Pickering. He spent four years working on various corporate matters in London and Washington D.C. with particular focus on private equity transactions for a number of international private equity firms as well as assisting various start-ups before teaming up with Will to apply his knowledge to their own venture.

Peter is an enthusiastic downhill skier and golfer (a Cambridge 'Blue') and also completed Vasaloppet (a 90km cross-country ski race) in 2007. He speaks Swedish and French, enjoys reading and collects paintings (as well as making the odd stab himself).

Key Employees and Service Providers / Consultants:

Eszter Bozoki (Finance and Accounting)

Eszter has held numerous financial positions for multinational companies and, in addition to Budapest, she has worked in Brussels, Memphis and Amsterdam and speaks Hungarian, Romanian, English and French.

In addition to managing WICLO's bookkeeping and acting as the financial controller, Eszter enjoys hiking and dancing when she has time away from her (animal) menagerie!

Nora Spievla (Customer Service)

As a former city guide in Budapest, Nora's Communication and Culture studies at Budapest University render her ideal to deal with all aspects of WICLO's marketing. Nora speaks fluent English and provides invaluable Hungarian language assistance particularly liaising with vendors as well as with prospective tenants and purchasers.

Nora enjoys traveling, which she has done extensively, as well as playing the cello and visiting museums and galleries. Nora keeps fit playing a multitude of sports and enjoys relaxing in Budapest's thermal spas

Tamas Szonyei (Development Project Management)

After finishing his studies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, qualifying as an architect, Tamas designs, prepares, and implements the development plans. His project management responsibilities requires him to work closely with all contractors to overcome challenges and ensure timely completion of projects.

Prior to working with WICLO, Tomi spent six months in Dresden as an Erasmus student where he developed his business German to complement his fluent English.

Anna Vavrinecz (Legal and Corporate Administrator)

Anna completed her legal studies at Budapest law school. She negotiates and prepares commercial contracts, legal memoranda and researches all aspects of the business from pre-purchase due diligence to lettings.

Anna speaks fluent English and German. Her doctorate thesis discussed the impact of Anglo-Saxon liberalists on the US Founding Fathers drafting of the US constitution. Law aside, Anna plays both the piano and violin, and is especially fond of animals.

Krisztina Ilosfai (Administration, PR, Assistance)

Krisztina is currently studying Communication and Media at Pázmány Péter Catholic University Faculty of Humanities. In addition to managing WICLO's offices, she assists with marketing and purchasing activities.

Having lived and worked in Ireland for the past 3 years, Krisztina speaks fluent English and can produce a convincing Irish accent if needed! She also speaks German and has started to learn French. In addition to her interest in languages, Krisztina's greatest loves are extreme sports particularly bungee jumping. She also enjoys watching art movies or reading books.

Julia Bede (Translation Services)

Julia, after finishing her second diploma at the Corvinus University in International Relations, became a certified English-Hungarian language translator. Having lived in Spain for five years she is also highly proficient in Spanish.

Julia likes to travel and as a passionate nature-lover she is active in environmental protection. She also enjoys scuba diving and taking countryside walks.
